A relaxing and ideal method of getting away from it all is trail riding. There are a few outfitters in the area who would be pleased to take you on a customized horseback tour, and offer a wonderful opportunity for the photographer or video enthusiast, who might want to take in some of the beautiful scenery in Brazeau Country. The Riverside Trails, operated by the Drayton Valley Horse Club, are groomed riding trails that meander along the banks of the Pembina River and through meadows of wildflowers. A staging area and campsite are also available. Monthly meetings of the Drayton Valley Horse Club are held on the first Tuesday of each month. The annual Trail Ride for Cancer is held on the first Sunday in May, and on the third Sunday of June, the Drayton Valley Horse Club hosts the annual Horse Show.
